What is a Destratification Fan? Destratification Fans are small, barrel-type fans that measure less than 2 ft. in diameter. Using fully enclosed blades, these fans create a concise column of air that gently mixes the air from ceiling-to-floor throughout a facility providing an even temperature. They help to eliminate hot and cold spots and increase overall air circulation helping improve comfort and save energy!
Cost-effective destratification fans are designed to suit the needs of virtually any space but are ideal for areas where obstructions may be of concern or where high volume, low speed (HVLS) fans are not able to be installed in warehouses, distribution centers, under mezzanines or a variety of other applications.
Like HVLS fans, destratification fans can be used year-round to create a more comfortable environment while saving on energy costs. Warm air trapped at the ceiling can be pushed down to the floor level helping facilities achieve their desired temperature level throughout the colder months. During the summer, destratification fans can evenly disperse the cool conditioned air and give the cool air additional velocity to fight through warming layers rising up towards the air handling equipment. They can also be positioned for spot cooling, which generates targeted airflow in a specified area of a facility, maximizing the number of locations they can circulate air.
